The process starts with our Station Building Assessment, a consultation that results in a customized plan for your LPFM station build. This service identifies the goals, resources and needs of an LPFM construction permit holder for the station building process. Working closely with a designated point person from your organization, we will produce a report that includes:

  • a project timeline
  • a detailed equipment list
  • an engineering block diagram of audio & broadcast systems
  • a quote for on-site Prometheus engineering services for construction
  • referrals to equipment vendors
  • preferred pricing through broadcast equipment group purchases

On-Site Engineering

Prometheus experts are available for on-site engineering and organizational development consultation to support your new LPFM station. Our process starts with the Station Building Assessment to help your organization plan and raise funds for getting on the air. From there we will work with you to refine your plans, purchase equipment, and finally arrive on site to connect all of the systems together and begin broadcasts. This process will include filing your Program Test Notification and License to Cover with the FCC.
